Friday, September 24 - This is an act 80 day and you will get out of school at 12:00. Go have a quick lunch and then go to the Historical district by Old Economy 14th Street to help mark off areas for booths, help set up booths, etc. report to Akulina's Antiques (corner of 13th and church Street.) Work from 12 -3:00. 12 People Needed

Saturday, September 25- We are Desperate! We know it is Homecoming, and there is a parade, a game, a dance, and a band festival. if you are not participating in these events, we really need you. Report to Akulina's Antiques (13th and Church corner) Wear Kahki Shorts (Not daisy dukes) and an Interact t shirt or something representing Ambridge High School

  • 7-10 a.m. (10 students needed)- 4 students at 3 designated areas onChurch St. to intruct vendors where to set up booths and offer assistance. 2 students to assemble and place trash bins. 2 students on Merchant street to direct traffic for vendor parking. 2 students to load-unload- and set up chairs for stage area
  • 9-noon- 1 student at 14th street to help set up pony ride area. 3 students to roam area...pick up trash...hand out festival flyers. 2 students to hold street festival signs at the cornors of 14th and where the old foodland used to be.
  • Noon- 2:00 p.m. (5 students needed) - 2 to roam area...pick up trash...hand out festival flyers. 2 students to sell wine tasting tickets. 1 student to hold street festival signs at cornor of 14th street
  • 2:00-4:00 (5 students needed) 3 students to roam area...pick up trash...hand out festival flyers. 2 students to hold street festival signs at corners of 14th street
  • 4:00-7:00 (4 students). 2 students to wlak streets and clean up trash. 2 students to take back chairs from stage area

October 2, Baden Apple Festival (9:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) sign up for three hour shifts. This is the first year they have asked us to participate. Please sign up.

Halloween Night - THEME NEEDED! Student council and Interact co-sponser a safe halloween for our elementary students at the high school. Each club in the school decorates a room in the school. There is a limit to only 2 scary rooms for the older children. All others must be age appropriate. All members are asked to supply one bag of candy, help with decorating, playing a character that night, acting as a guide for students, or cleaning up.

October - PROJECT FEAR HAUNTED HOUSE. Senior Project of Heather Shively. Need help setting up, or dressing up and playing a role.

November 6- Ambridge Library "A Taste of Autmn" event for adults. We serve, set up and clean-up. Students needed in the morning to set up. (5-6 people)

1-2 people for an ice cream social at the Ambridge Library from 11:45-2.


July 10th-
Additional people needed for two to three hours slots selling funnel cakes at the event at the Sewickley Community Center.
It is by the American Legion and ball field that is near Burger King. Go to the light at Walnut Street and turn right. Turn right at the stop sign and go until you see the Rotary Funnel Cake booth. Starts at 10, I think. Probably runs until dark. You are invited to swim at the Community Center if you work. It is supposed to be 90 degrees.
